How do you use social media to help you learn?

Social media may be of great help for your learning. There are many apps and resources that are all in English.

1- Try putting your Facebook account in English and you will learn tens of new words simply by reading them when accessing your page.

2- Try to communicate with your colleagues in English. That makes you more secure on writing. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, so it is ok if you do not know a word or another. Imagine and try. No one could never learn a language without making mistakes. Every person in this planet have tried to communicate and so, have committed mistakes. Social media can help you learn if you give it a try.

3- Make comments, send notes, go to international pages, try reading other people’s profiles. By doing so you’ll improve your English skills and be more confident.

4- Participate in online discussions, forums, comment on your friends’ photos, in English.

5- Use English adjectives on your posts, follow international(and relevant) people on Twitter.

6- Everyday try to read English news on online international newspaper such as New York Times and Daily Mail.

7- Check BBC at least once a week. They have wonderful material for students.

8- Try learning a song you like in English.

As you could see there are many possibilities for the ones who want to brush up the communicative skills in English. Now it’s up to you!
